Bakery craft „Sveti Kuzam“
Bakery craft “Sveti Kuzam” was founded in 1968 and it is also known as” Bakery without bread” because the main activity was and still is the production of baškoti by its own recipe. Baking craft is a family tradition, which was recognized by the Institute for Business Researching that awarded it in 2001 for 34 years of work by including it in the top 17% by workload and 2% by tradition, and in 2010 the Chamber of crafts Primorje-Gorski Kotar County gave it the Charter for special achievements in the improvement and development of crafts. The HACCP system was introduced in 2005.
Production of baskoti and other bakery products (flat bread, walnut bread, bread with poppy seed and Easter bread) is a unique and traditional, with a large proportion of its own work and love for each product, with no additives. Since the production of semi-automatic, and capacity is limited, the products are sold almost exclusively in its own bakery. Due to the above, the aim is not to invest in modern technology and automation of production, but retaining the traditional production and familiarize the broader public with the former and present role of rusks in the diet of children and adults.
